Mode Architects Sdn Bhd is a progressive architectural firm which was formed in 2001 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Mode was co-founded by two directors: Ar. Ken Lim and Ar. Azmil Abdul Azmi with the primary aim of establishing a new and successful architectural business model. Together, the founders of Mode Architects offer a combined total of more than 50 years of experience and expertise in a wide spectrum of projects.
Mode Architects is driven by the ambition of creating quality architectural and urban spaces and take each commission seriously. We focus on high-end residential works that include private bungalows, high rise condominiums and landed housing projects as well as large scale town planning works.
Our design philosophy and principles are mainly rooted in the modern architectural language with careful mix of local and tropical flavour and sensibilities to respond to the spirit of the Place and its locality. We strives for simplicity in our design solutions and harnesses the economy of means in the delivery and executions of our projects. To this end, Mode aspires to deliver design works that cater to the aesthetics demand, market conditions and social expectations. Mode also incorporates brand positioning in its projects: product identity, recognition and excellence where necessary to do so.
Mode Architects constantly seek to provide the best answers and solutions for our clients. And thus, from the onset, Mode Architects endeavors to find new models of working and operations that are efficient and cost effective in line with up-to-date industry's standards and worldwide development.
Mode also works and maintains excellent ties with its clients because we believes that a strong relationship with clients encourages communications and open problem solving and thus furthers excellence in the end product. Our Clients can also be assured that each creation or product has its own distinctive aesthetic value and function which are often specifics to the project types and project briefs.
As a progressive firm, Mode strives to serve all its clients with rigor and renewed professionalism coupled with strong emphasis on the underlying the Vitruvian principle of good architecture: Commodity, Firmness and Delight ...
OUR CORE BELIEF
Every Mode project is driven by a passion for design. For a design to truly appeal to the senses, we believe that the fundamental elements of space, form and utility must be integrated. At Mode, we believe in a pure form of architecture that is centered on the analytical and creative skills of the architect to achieve this excellence. We take pride in the conception of high quality designs in every project we undertake.
The approach to all Mode projects is collaborative both within the practice itself and in its relation to our specialist partners and clients. These lines of collaboration are established by our dedicated architects and are carefully maintained throughout every stage in the lifetime of a project, from its inception until its conclusion. We take pride in our ability and dedication to coordinating an effective team to achieve design and project goals - from aesthetic judgments through to questions of the environment, structural integrity and issues of cost, programme and value.
At Mode, our service to the client is personal, open and mutual. We understand that the development of every brief is essential to the success of a project because ultimately, the client satisfaction is our goal. Our architects are experienced in giving relevant advice led by our clients' most subtle requirements so that vision and detail are synthesized for the best results. We take pride in our standards, which are continuously raised to meet the ever-raising bar in client satisfaction.
Cost management is of great importance so as to ensure that all projects are completed within the client's budget. Being thorough in defining the solution to the client's needs means providing as much information as possible to the client and being sensitive to practical budgetary constraints. We believe that the quality of a project is not necessarily related to how much it costs, but rather how wisely time and money are spent.
"Architecture transforms the ordinary by giving order, scale and beauty to space. It allows us to build dreams and turn them into reality"
